The Cleveland Quartet Award

Established in recognition of the Cleveland Quartet’s enduring legacy in the areas of chamber music performance and education, this biennial award is presented to an exceptional young string quartet.

Through monies earned from the Award’s endowment, funds will be provided for a prestigious national tour to many of the same cities that presented the Cleveland Quartet’s final performances in 1995. The award is administered by Chamber Music America, a national organization of chamber music ensembles, musicians, and presenters. Candidates are nominated confidentially and selected by a panel with expertise in quartet teaching, performance, and presenting.
